9. USERS' RIGHTS REGARDING PERSONAL DATA
As a User, you have the following rights, which are not absolute and are subject to certain conditions described below, in accordance with the Regulation:
Right of access: You have the right to obtain confirmation from us whether or not your Personal Data is being processed, as well as other information specified in our Privacy and Cookies Policy on how it is used. You also have the right to access your Personal Data by requesting a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you, where applicable. This allows you to know and verify that we are using your information in accordance with the Regulation. We may, however, refuse to provide information where it would reveal Personal Data about another person or adversely affect another person's rights.
Right to rectification: You may ask us to correct your Personal Data if it is inaccurate or incomplete (e.g., if your name was misspelled or your address was wrong).
Right to erasure: Also known as the "right to be forgotten," this right allows you to request the deletion or removal of your Personal Data when, for example, there is no longer any compelling reason for us to continue using it, or its use is no longer in accordance with the Regulation. This right has some exceptions, such as when we must use this information in court or to comply with a legal obligation.
Right to restrict processing: You have the right to "block" or prevent further use of your Personal Data when we are evaluating a request for rectification or as an alternative to erasure. When processing is thus limited at your request, we may still retain your Personal Data in accordance with the Regulation, but we cannot use it further.
Right to data portability: You have the right to obtain and reuse certain Personal Data for your own purposes in different companies (which are distinct data controllers). This only applies to Personal Data you have provided to us, which we process through automated means with your consent as part of using the Website and/or Services. In this case, we will provide you with a copy of your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or we will transfer your Personal Data directly to another data controller you specify, if technically possible.
Right to object: You have the right to object to certain types of processing, for reasons related to your particular situation, at any time, to the extent that the processing is carried out for the legitimate interests pursued by VICAT. If you object to the processing of your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your Personal Data for such purposes. However, we will be allowed to continue processing the Personal Data if we demonstrate that this processing is justified by compelling legitimate reasons that override your interests, rights, and freedoms or if we need it for the defense of our interests in legal proceedings.
Right to withdraw consent: When we process your Personal Data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, such withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that occurred before this withdrawal.
Right to provide us with instructions regarding the use of your Personal Data after your death: In France, you have the right to provide us with instructions on how to manage (e.g., retain, erase, and disclose) your Personal Data after your death. You may modify or revoke these instructions at any time.
10. EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS
If you have any questions about our Privacy and Cookies Policy, how we process your Personal Data, or if you wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact our dedicated service at: dpo@vicat.fr.
Any request will be reviewed within the timeframes provided by the Regulation. However, we remind you that the exercise of your rights will be subject to VICAT's right to continue processing your Personal Data to defend its legitimate interests or to comply with a legal obligation.
Exercising your rights will not incur any costs for you. However, we will not be obliged to comply with your request if it is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint or if you believe that the processing of your Personal Data does not comply with the Regulation, you can file a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés ("CNIL"), the competent data protection authority, at the following address: CNIL Complaints Service, 3 place de Fontenoy - TSA 80751, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 or by phone at +33 1 53 73 22 22.
We may need to ask you for specific information to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your Personal Data or exercise your other rights. This is an appropriate security measure to ensure that your Personal Data is not disclosed to anyone who does not have the right to access it.
11. HOW IS DATA SECURED?
VICAT ensures that Personal Data is processed securely and confidentially, including when some of these processes are carried out by subcontractors. To this end, we have implemented technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, or deletion of your Personal Data. These measures are adjusted according to the sensitivity level of the data processed and the level of risk presented by each process or its implementation. We have procedures in place to handle any suspected data security breaches and will notify you, as well as any competent supervisory authority, of any suspected breaches when we are legally required to do so.
Since data transmission over the Internet or data storage systems cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, if you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately at: dpo@vicat.fr.

13. COOKIES
13.1. What are cookies?
"Cookies" are small text files, often containing unique identifiers, that are sent by web servers to web browsers, and which may then be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.
Cookies are very useful and allow the Site to recognize you, log you in when you visit a particular page, enable secure login to the Site, and improve your user experience by enhancing your browsing comfort and/or adapting the content of a page to your interests.
13.2. How are cookies used?
When you browse the Site, cookies may be automatically installed and temporarily stored in memory or on your hard drive to improve your browsing experience. These cookies do not allow you to be personally identified but are used to record information related to your navigation on the Site.
When prior consent is required for their use, the validity period of the consent for the placement of cookies is 6 months. At the end of this period, we will ask for your consent again.
The cookies we place on the Site as an operator are called "first-party cookies" while those from third parties are called "third-party cookies." These allow third-party features or functionalities to be provided on or through the Site, such as advertising, interactive, or analytical content. The operators of these third-party cookies may then collect some of your Personal Data and recognize your computer when you visit the Site or other websites.
The lifespan of an audience measurement cookie that does not require consent is 13 months, and the information collected through these cookies is retained by us for a maximum of 25 months, in accordance with the Regulation.
The types of cookies used on the Site are as follows:
Technical cookies: These cookies allow you to navigate the Site and use its features more efficiently. These cookies also allow the Site to remember your previous action during the same browsing session.
Analytical cookies: These cookies are used by us or by third parties who operate them to analyze the use and performance of the Site. We use Google Analytics or Hotjar cookies, for example, to obtain web analytics data by collecting information about your interaction with the Site, including information about the pages you visit and the duration of your visit.
Statistical cookies: These cookies allow us to establish statistics and volumes of traffic and use of the various elements composing the Site, such as sections and content visited, paths, visit times, which allows us to improve the interest and ergonomics of the Site.
13.3. What analytical cookies are present on the Site?
The Site uses Google Analytics cookies, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., whose headquarters are located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A, registered in France under the number SIREN 432126092 ("Google"). The information generated by these analytical cookies allows us to produce consultation statistics during your use of the Site. This information, including your IP address, will be transferred and stored by Google on servers located worldwide. Google will use this data to evaluate your use of the Site, provide us with reports, and other services related to its activity and Internet use.
The following cookies are used by Google:

13.4. How to Block the Use of Cookies?
There are two ways to refuse the use of cookies:
The first is during your first visit to the site, when your consent for the use of cookies on your data is requested via an informational banner displayed in the middle of the page. Using the "Accept all" and "Reject all" buttons, you can accept or reject globally so that we can store cookies on your device according to your choice. Additionally, a third button “Customize” on this banner allows you to see the details of the categories of cookies used and consent or not to each category by purpose. This banner is also accessible at any time via the "Cookie Management" menu located at the bottom of the page.
The second method is by changing your browser settings to block the use of cookies if you wish to reject all types of cookies on the site. However, if you block the use of cookies, you may not be able to use or view all or part of the site. Each web browser offers different ways to configure cookie management.
